We are a growing local construction company looking for an organized and detail-oriented bookkeeper to help manage our daily finances and keep our business organized.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Processing invoices, job costing and following up on client payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Matching bank and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Financial Reporting: Generating monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.
- Tax Preparation: Preparing and filing GST/PST/WCB returns and working with our external CPA at year-end.
- Document Management: Organizing and maintaining secure digital or physical financial files.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper preferably with construction experience or similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software Sage Word and Excel.
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Highly organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
- Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation or relevant education/experience
- MUST live in Prince George, BC but able to work from remotely from home.
