Mother Tongue Asian Bistro & Cocktail Bar is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to join our team. This is not a traditional office management role—it's a hybrid position that combines leadership with active participation on the floor. You'll lead by example, working alongside the team while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth daily operations.

What You'll Do
- Lead daily restaurant operations while maintaining a strong presence on the floor.
- Serve guests and bartend during service as required.
- Coach, motivate, and support front-of-house team members.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and labour management.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
- Maintain food safety, liquor compliance, and health & safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of restaurant leadership experience.
- Previous serving and bartending experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and hospitality standards.
- A hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside their team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay organized and composed during busy service periods.
- Smart Serve Certification (required).
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
