Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plasma Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plasma cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure precision and safety in all operations.
Duties
- Set up and operate plasma cutting machines, including CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and press brake machines.
- Program CNC laser cutters and other machinery to meet specifications using CNC programming skills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine cutting requirements.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot plasma cutting equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for machine adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Assist with assembly processes when required, ensuring parts are correctly assembled according to standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely when moving heavy materials or finished products within the workspace.
Requirements
- Proven experience with plasma cutting, CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, welding, and machining processes.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and blueprint reading is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices.
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and procedures.
- Prior experience with press brake machines and CNC machining equipment is highly desirable.

Pay: $17.20-$28.70 per hour
