In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate electrical project estimates, supporting senior estimators with detailed cost analysis, and contributing to successful project bids. Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings to gather necessary information for estimates
- Support the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates using industry-standard software such as Accubid and Bluebeam
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate terms when appropriate
- Contribute to the development of project budgets by analyzing material costs, labor, equipment, and other expenses
- Help maintain organized records of all estimating documents, including bid proposals and pricing data
- Support project management teams by providing accurate cost data for project planning and scheduling
- Participate in team meetings to review bid strategies, scope changes, and project updates
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction estimating processes and terminology
- Familiarity with electrical systems and construction practices is highly preferred
- Experience with Accubid software for PDF markup and document management is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Knowledge of HeavyBid or similar estimating software is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
