Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Construction Driver & Site Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves transporting materials, supporting site operations, and ensuring smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with warehouse operations, and excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively on construction sites. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and customer service are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Must possess a valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence (full G) or higher with a clean driving record.
- Safely operate company vehicles, including F-350 trucks and trailers, while transporting materials, tools, equipment, and machinery to and from project sites.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport heavy construction materials, equipment, and machinery while ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Operate construction equipment, machinery, hand tools, and power tools to support project activities and site operations.
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on vehicles, trailers, and equipment, including troubleshooting basic mechanical issues and ensuring all assets remain in safe working condition.
- Provide hands-on support to construction crews by assisting with site setup, material organization, site protection, cleanup, and general construction activities as required.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, suppliers, and team members to coordinate deliveries, pickups, project logistics, and changing site priorities.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transportation and on-site activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and professional interactions with clients.
Experience
- Experienced operating pickup trucks and towing trailers in a construction environment.
- Comfortable moving heavy materials, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Skilled in operating construction equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform minor vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Strong communicator with a professional and team-oriented attitude.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving construction materials and equipment.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating tasks and providing customer service
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation
- Previous experience in a construction or industrial environment is advantageous
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
