Immigration Caseworker
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Immigration Caseworker / Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Canadian immigration applications and be able to independently manage client files from intake to submission. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of temporary and permanent residence pathways, including visitor visas, work permits, post-graduation work permits (PGWP), study permits, permanent residence applications, family sponsorships, and citizenship applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage immigration files from initial consultation through final decision.
- Prepare and submit applications, including:
- Temporary Resident Visas (TRV)
- Visitor Record extensions and other temporary resident applications
- Study Permits
- Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWP)
- Employer-specific and Open Work Permits
- Permanent Residence (PR) applications
- Spousal and Family Sponsorship applications
- Citizenship applications
- Other immigration matters as required
- Conduct client intake interviews and assess eligibility under various Canadian immigration programs.
- Review, organize, and analyze supporting documentation.
- Draft submission letters, explanation letters, and supporting documents.
- Communicate regularly with clients and provide updates throughout the application process.
- Liaise with IRCC, CBSA, and other government agencies when necessary.
- Identify potential issues and proactively develop strategies to strengthen applications.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all applications comply with IRCC requirements and submission deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
- Experience preparing and submitting Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), Visitor Record, Study Permit, Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), Work Permit, Permanent Residence, Family Sponsorship, Citizenship, and other temporary residence applications.
- Ability to manage multiple client files in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication, client service, and interviewing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and Hindi and/or Punjabi is required.
