Position Overview
We are seeking a Hydrovac Operator with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is a safe, skilled driver and operator who takes pride in their work, shows up with a positive attitude, and is dedicated to excellence on every job.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate hydrovac units for various excavation and daylighting projects
- Drive to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner
- Set up and dismantle equipment at job sites according to company and client requirements
- Perform non-destructive excavation to expose utilities and other underground infrastructure
- Complete all required paperwork (work orders, safety forms, driver logs) accurately and on time
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, crew members, and supervisors
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times
Qualifications
- Experienced hydrovac operators only (A minimum of 3 years of previous hydrovac operating experience required. Unfortunately, we not unable train new recruits at this time.)
- Valid DZ license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
- Knowledge of water box and live curb stop connections is an asset
- Strong focus on safety and compliance
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Positive mindset with a dedication to excellence and continuous improvement
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required (including some evenings or weekends)

Pay: $48.16 per hour
