The Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to internal stakeholders in relation to the coordination and management of corporate projects. They are a champion of project delivery and governance across the organization.
Work closely with your manager, project sponsors, and delivery partners (internal and external) to implement a variety of projects, on-time, on-budget, and to quality standards
Serve as the primary escalation point for any project management queries
Organize and facilitate collaborative discussions with key partners as required
Develop relationships with your key partners and support them through any challenges during the full project management life cycle
Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues
Work proactively with delivery partner leads to help them manage resource allocation in order to ensure sufficient capacity to achieve project milestones
Actively contribute to portfolio planning to help identify and prioritize corporate projects
Assist when required with the development of comprehensive business requirements and assist in project scoping with key partners
While working in collaboration with key partners, ensure there is a mitigation plan in place for all enterprise risk factors
Ensure all key partners are in compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and procedures
Deliver end-to-end project support to internal and external stakeholders through the full project management lifecycle with timely and clear communication throughout

Meticulously maintain up-to-date status reports, financial records, RAID logs, change orders and any other required artifacts, and present as requested to your manager, Steering Committee and other governance bodies
Thoroughly conduct project post-implementation reviews and create recommendations in order to identify successful elements and share learning opportunities with stakeholders at all levels to inspire continuous improvement of project management processes and standards
With your team, select, develop, implement and manage Project Management methodologies (policies, system monitors and controls etc.) that fit the requirements and culture of FirstOntario and help meet FirstOntario's strategic goals
Support and provide counsel to stakeholders to assist in achieving successful project outcomes
Collaborate with your peers and stakeholders to add to the collective innovative thinking that can drive new business ideas for FirstOntario
Be a change leader as FirstOntario continues to adapt to new and exciting ways of delivering business services
Consider healthsafety as a primary concern to ensure the overall well-being of yourself and others
Perform other duties as required
Have a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on Project Management experience
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related field
Financial industry experience is an asset
Have the Project Management Professional certification
Be adept at applying formal project management practices and other mandated procedure, with the ability to adapt to extraordinary scenarios by using flexibility and creativity
Be highly proficient using MS Project, Service Now, SharePoint, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills an asset
Be equally comfortable working independently with a high degree of autonomy and within the constructs of a structured team environment
Stay current with the latest trends and developments in Project Management tools and practices
Be detail-oriented, analytical, and pragmatic; use good judgment and have an incredible passion for ensuring the accuracy in all of your work
Have a genuine customer-service bias (e.g., be quick to respond to client requests; adapt to changing priorities)
Demonstrate thought leadership; actively learn and openly share your knowledge with the team
Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and be trustworthy
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Be open to flexible work hours including evening and weekends as the job demands and travel as required

Salary Range: $81,110 to $111,527 annually.
Compensation for this role reflects a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Those whose experience more closely aligns the role's requirements may be placed higher within the salary range.
