The Role
We are looking for qualified massage therapists to join our team, in whichever format suits you best:
- Employee — flexible schedule based on spa demand, with a base hourly rate plus premium pay for evening, weekend, and statutory holiday hours.
- Freelance / Independent Contractor — service contract, with availability based on your needs and the spa's.
In both cases, scheduling is flexible and adjusted based on guest demand.
To help fill out your hours during quieter periods, there is also the option to take on spa coordination duties (front desk, scheduling, guest check-in/check-out, treatment room preparation) — a great fit for those who want steadier, more predictable hours alongside their massage bookings.
Responsibilities
- Perform massage therapy treatments (Swedish, therapeutic, deep tissue, prenatal, and other specialties as applicable) in line with Ono Spa protocols.
- Assess client needs and adapt treatments accordingly.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with hygiene standards.
- Properly manage equipment and products used.
- Contribute to an outstanding guest experience, aligned with Bel Air Resort Tremblant's service standards.
- When scheduled for coordination shifts: manage spa bookings, greet and check in guests, and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the spa.
Requirements
- Recognized diploma in massage therapy (DEP or equivalent certification).
- Active member in good standing with a recognized professional association (e.g. FQM, RITMA, or equivalent).
- Spa or private clinic experience an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends based on demand.
- Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset.
Compensation
Compensation varies depending on the status chosen:
- Employee: base hourly rate of [TO BE COMPLETED] $/hr, with a [TO BE COMPLETED]% premium for evening/weekend/statutory holiday hours.
- Freelance: [TO BE COMPLETED — e.g. flat rate per treatment or % commission per massage].
- Coordination hours (if applicable): paid at the standard hourly rate of [TO BE COMPLETED] $/hr.
- Tips are kept 100% by the massage therapist.
