Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Order Picker to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks, and have a solid understanding of warehouse distribution processes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and other warehouse equipment, to move products within the facility
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker equipment
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods and adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklift machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in inventory management by organizing stock locations and maintaining accurate records of stock levels
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
- Handle heavy lifting as required to move products safely and efficiently
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or damage within the warehouse
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks, with valid certification preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with warehouse distribution systems and order picking processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the warehouse, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
