About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Operations & Sales to lead and support the continued growth of our mortgage business. This leadership role combines operational management, business development, sales strategy, team support, and strategic planning.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales performance, improving operational efficiency, supporting deal flow, and mentoring a team of mortgage professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with applicable mortgage industry regulations, internal policies, and FSRA requirements.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase volume, market share, and referral opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators and drive accountability across the team.
- Build and maintain relationships with lenders, investors, referral partners, brokers, and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, compliant, and client-focused.
- Participate in strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Support underwriting and deal review for alternative, commercial, residential, private, and construction financing opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and support mortgage professionals to improve sales performance, client service, and operational consistency.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Mortgage Agent Licence in Ontario required.
- Minimum 5 years of mortgage industry experience.
- Proven leadership, sales management, and operational management experience.
- Strong business development background.
- Extensive knowledge of alternative lending, private financing, construction financing, commercial mortgages, and residential mortgage lending.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements within the Ontario mortgage industry.
- Excellent communication, coaching, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with mortgage origination systems, CRM tools, and related technology.
