Job Overview
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in laminating processes. Minimum 3 years experience as a baker or pastry chef. French training an asset.
Responsibilities
- Scale and mix doughs
- Laminating pastries, including croissants, Danish pastries, and puff pastry items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in accordance with food safety standards.
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before presentation or service.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations related to food handling, storage, and sanitation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pastry baking with a focus on lamination techniques.
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, including dough lamination, proofing, and finishing touches.
- Excellent customer service skills for engaging with clients or guests when necessary.
- Competence in food handling, packaging, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
