KITCHEN HELPER
Colombo Lodge the Italian Cultural Centre is seeking a part-time casual Kitchen Helper for their banquet facility in downtown Kamloops.
Our Banquet facility hosts some of the best Signature events such as Seafood Extravaganza, Beef Bash, Taste of Italy and many more. In addition we cater to a range of outside events such as meetings, weddings, theatre and comedy events to name a few.
Our kitchen team delivers quality and speed to all aspects of food preparation and delivery to ensure great guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Work within a team environment to ensure timely preparation and delivery of banquet food menus.
- Prepares menu items according to established standards and banquet needs
- Ensures cleanliness, proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
- Responsible for proper storage of food and preparation
- Assist in other kitchen duties (i.e. washing dishes) as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ kitchen experience
- Basic food preparation
- Demonstrates the ability to follow recipes and an understanding of recipe conversion.
- Be willing to complete a Food Safe course as required.
- Ability to work well with other team members
- Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, holidays, weekends
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Demonstrates the ability to follow recipes
Successful candidates will be contacted for interviews starting August 14th, 2026 for work to commence on August 27, 2026.
Pay: $18.25-$18.50 per hour
