Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our educational team. This role is vital in supporting the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children, including those with disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood teaching.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through engaging interactions
- Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support individual learning needs, including working with children with disabilities or special needs
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior for assessment purposes
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is an asset
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in child development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Must be at least 18 years old and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
Pay: $20.15-$22.15 per hour
