Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to join our roofing team. The ideal candidate will assist with various manual tasks on-site, supporting the successful completion of projects. The Laborer will be responsible for performing physically demanding tasks, ensuring safety, and maintaining a clean and organized work site.
Duties
- Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools to perform construction-related tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to aid in project execution
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure quality finishes
- Conduct general handyman tasks, including repairs and maintenance around the site
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote safety for all team members
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction projects
- Experience in construction, roofing or related fields is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of blueprint reading to understand project plans and specifications
- Familiarity with caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques
- Prior roofing experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions for extended periods
