The Internal Service Advisor coordinates repair and maintenance services for incoming vehicles. This includes preparing repair orders, working with technicians to determine repair needs, and presenting cost estimates to department managers. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and supplies for all internal repairs.
- Prepare repair orders (ROs) by documenting symptoms, problems, and required repairs in the service database.
- Confirm warranty and service contract coverage by examining vehicle records and terms.
- Provide Service Desk support, including greeting customers, scheduling appointments, and estimating costs.
- Communicate vehicle issues to technicians and ensure accurate repair descriptions.
- Coordinate alternative transportation arrangements for customers, such as shuttle services or rentals.
- Obtain customer authorization for recommended repairs and inform them when their vehicle is ready for pick-up.
- Process payments for completed services while ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues and de-escalate situations promptly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with staff and customers.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the automotive or service industry preferred.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure in a professional environment.
- Certificate of Conduct is required.
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
