Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various commercial and public spaces to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have prior custodial or cleaning experience, with a focus on commercial cleaning tasks. This position offers consistent work hours and the opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning tasks
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to company policies regarding cleanliness standards and sanitation protocols
Skills
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers is a plus
- Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is advantageous
