Position: CNC Machinist

We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist that lives in the Barrie area with a passion for precision engineering. Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with the ability to work with little supervision and tight deadlines? If so, we may want you to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Program and set up CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications
- Operate a variety of equipment, including saws and manual surface grinders
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience programming CNC machines on 3-axis vertical machining centers using Fanuc and Haas Controls
- Proficiency with MasterCam software or CAD software with at least 1 year of experience
- Extensive experience (minimum 1 year) operating saws, manual surface grinders, and utilizing crane and hoist equipment
- Ability to monitor speed and feeds, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance
- Forklift experience is considered an asset
- Legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Must possess own vehicle and live locally (with potential for harsh winter weather, we rely on people being here to meet deadlines and can't afford absences due to inability to commute due to weather, some exceptions do apply for safety purposes)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification or equivalent experience in CNC machining
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
