Position Name: Material Handler

Job Overview
A Forklift Operator should be able to assemble containers and pallets, pack goods to be shipped, and attach packing slips and labels. This role is physically active and requires minor admin tasks. We have a supportive and dedicated Supply Chain team that is looking for support!
Hours of Work:
Rotating 8 hour shift every 2 weeks from Monday to Friday (Days, Afternoon, Nights) with weekends off.
Responsibilities
- Direct delivery trucks and help drivers unload goods by hand and using lift assist devices such as forklift
- Inspect and count items that are received, ensuring accuracy
- Record received items through RF Scanning device
- Unpack received items and move into appropriate storage areas through RF Scanning device
- Maintain safe working conditions and keep shipping department and related areas clean
- Required to operate Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack and related stockroom machinery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post- Secondary Education
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment
- Shipping & Receiving
- Narrow Reach Truck License
- Electric and Propane Forklift License
- Must be flexible working 3 rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons, Nights).
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Safety minded.
- Effective communication skills in verbal and written form.
- Ability to follow directions closely and function as a part of a team.
