Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide electrical installations and repairs
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, and control panels
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks with precision
- Work on renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure in commercial or industrial facilities
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery and processes
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and code regulations
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or upgrades to ensure seamless integration of electrical components
- Utilize handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments as needed in various settings
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid 309A certification or equivalent license
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Industrial electrician experience is highly preferred, especially in manufacturing or large-scale facilities
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, control wiring, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving electrical installations or renovations
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment necessary for electrical work
- Knowledge of safety protocols and electrical codes applicable to industrial environments
- Additional handyman experience or general renovation skills are advantageous
