Job Description for Fish Cutter
Inter-Canada Fisheries is looking to fill the position of Fish cutter and Fillet Personnel. Our Location is 225 Orenda Road, and the working hours will be 4 am – 12 pm.
· To cut and fillet fish and halibut.
· To follow the Canadian health and food safety regulations when handling all seafood out of container.
· To follow protocols for Fillet Room and warehouse Cleanliness by complying with the cleaning checklist on everyday basis.
· Must make a daily count of supplies i.e. boxes, bags, cleaning, sanitizing, & cutting blade.
· To weigh halibut in totes.
· To assist with picking orders when days are slow.
· To assist in the cleaning the warehouse.
Key Qualifications:
· Must have 2 years of experience in fish cutting/ filleting.
· Must be a good communicator
· Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
· Must be able to handle time effective orders
· Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a constant basis
· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
· Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a constant basis
· Must be organized and a good team player.
· Must be able to read, write and speak English, bi-lingual in Chinese is an asset
· Must be able to work on Saturdays
· Must be willing to stay longer on days to complete orders when needed
· Must upkeep the Food Safety Handler’s certification (expires every 5 years).
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
