Join a fleet maintenance shop as a Diagnostic Truck Technician. You'll diagnose and repair a diverse range of commercial vehicles in a modern, climate-controlled facility in Dorval. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, electrical diagnostics, engine work, and after-treatment system repairs.
- 4+ years heavy truck repair experience
- Advanced electrical and engine diagnostics skills
- After-treatment system diagnostic knowledge
- AC and ABS system repair experience
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and perform back-probing
- Own complete tool set
- Valid driver's license
- Systematic troubleshooting ability
- OEM diagnostic software experience (Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner) – preferred
- Commercial Driver's License – preferred
- Automotive mechanic background willing to transition to heavy trucks – preferred
- Multi-brand truck experience – preferred
- Wage: $44–$47/hour (based on experience)
- Insurance: 50/50 health and dental coverage (after 3-month probation)
- Tool Allowance: $350 annually
- Boot Allowance: $140 annually
- Work Clothing: Provided
- RRSP Matching: Up to $1,000 annually
- Vacation: 2 weeks year 1 3 weeks after 3 years
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM (Tue–Fri) 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (Mon) Flexibility for an evening shift if desired.
- Overtime: Paid after 8 hours daily
- Environment: 6-bay shop with pit and rail jack shop work only (no field service)
