Staff Plus is hiring Bakery Production Workers for full-time temporary opportunities at a large industrial bakery in Mississauga.
Earn $20.65 per hour, plus overnight and weekend premiums of up to $23.65 per hour, with weekly pay and 12-hour day and night shifts available.
In this role, you will package fresh product, inspect finished products, pack boxes, palletize completed orders and help keep bakery production lines running safely and efficiently.
We are looking for dependable candidates who are comfortable standing for extended periods, performing repetitive production tasks and lifting up to 30 lbs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Previous production, packaging or manufacturing experience is an asset.
Pay and Shift Premiums
- Base rate: $20.65 per hour
- Weekday overnight rate: $21.65 per hour for eligible hours worked between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend daytime rate: $22.65 per hour
- Weekend overnight rate: $23.65 per hour
- Weekend rates apply to eligible hours worked between 7:00 a.m. Saturday and 7:00 a.m. Monday

Day Shift
Approximately 7:00 a.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
Night Shift
Approximately 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. or 7:30 a.m.

Applicants must be available to work 12-hour shifts and weekends when scheduled based on production requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Work on a bakery production and packaging line
- Package fresh bread and rolls into food-grade plastic or glassine bags
- Pack finished bakery products into bags and boxes
- Inspect products before packaging and shipment
- Monitor products coming from the oven to ensure they meet quality requirements
- Palletize boxes of finished products
- Move packaged products within the production and packing areas
- Rotate between production lines and bakery products as required
- Sweep floors and clean tables, surfaces, racks and production equipment
- Follow food safety, quality and workplace safety procedures
- Complete other production duties based on business needs
What You’ll Need
- Ability to lift and move minimum of 30 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift
- Availability for 12-hour day or night shifts
- Weekend availability based on production requirements
- Comfort working in a fast-paced food production environment
- Comfort working in areas where temperatures vary by product and may range from approximately 8°C to 12°C on some production lines
- Comfort working around different bakery products, ingredients and food-related aromas
- Reliable transportation to the Mississauga work location
- Strong attendance, reliability and attention to product quality
- Previous food production, packaging, manufacturing, warehouse or general labour experience is an asset
