Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist/Front Desk Administrator to join our newly opened pediartric dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering excellent patient service. Prior dental or medical office experience, along with proficiency in electronic medical records systems, is highly valued.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Tracker and MaxAssist
- Collect payments and process billing using Tracker
- Answer phones, emails, and other communications promptly and professionally
- Assist with insurance verification, claims, and billing
- Maintain accurate patient records in our digital office system
- Coordinate day-to-day office operations and workflow
- Support clinical team as needed with administrative tasks
- Ensure a positive and friendly environment for children and families
Skills
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or front desk administrator in a dental or medical office setting
- Friendly, professional, and able to work well with children and parents
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Tracker (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling and record keeping
- Familiarity with dental office procedures, insurance processing, and billing practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with electronic medical records and microsoft office is advantageous
