Vipond (Fire Stop / Ultra-Alarm) is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to oversee daily warehouse operations and support our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, with experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations / procedures and adhering to health and safety requirements. Individual must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs consistently and perform the work required associated warehouse duties.
The Warehouse Associate role will play a key part in ensuring smooth workflow, vendor relations, and maintaining effective processes.
Duties:
- Loading and unloading of trucks / vehicles in warehouse and yard.
- Scheduling of shipments to / from job sites.
- Picking and packing of materials for orders.
- Re-stocking and returning of materials from job sites.
- Counting returned items from jobs, and relieving costs from jobs.
- Regular counting of inventory and placing orders to replenish stock.
- General cleaning and tidying responsibilities in both the shop and yard.
- Operate / maintain warehouse equipment and forklifts.
- Operate and utilize computer software to order and maintain materials.
Experience:
- Vipond believes in hiring for attitude, and training for aptitude.
- Experience in the skilled trades is an asset.
- Experience in warehousing and inventory management is an asset.
