Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver and Equipment Operator to join our team for the upcoming 2026 Potato Harvest season. This vital role involves working around operating farm machinery and equipment to ensure the proper maintenance, and efficient harvest of potatoes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with farm machinery, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance. Responsibilities
- Safely assist in the operation of various farm machinery and harvest equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and conveying line systems to facilitate the harvesting, and storage of potatoes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal performance throughout the season.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks involving equipment, tools, or harvested produce while following safety protocols.
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring inputs, calibrating machinery, and recording operational data accurately.
- Inspect equipment regularly for mechanical issues, troubleshooting problems promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and harvest progress to support operational efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine repairs and troubleshooting on farm machinery.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as tractors, harvesters, or similar farm vehicles.
- Familiarity with conveying lines, and havest equipment relevant to potato farming.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks required during harvesting activities.
- Knowledge of farm safety protocols and proper operation of farm machinery in a busy agricultural environment.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
