Best Western Estevan Inn & Suites is looking for a Front Desk Agent to welcome our guests and manage their requests and needs. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for providing information and support to our customers, answering questions, and providing alternatives when necessary. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who has a friendly, outgoing personality and is able to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Greets guests, checks them in/out, and collects payments
- Opens and closes the front desk area as needed (washes, carries, restocks, etc.)
- Manages incoming calls and transfers
- Assists in the maintenance of the front desk area (sweeps, picks up trash, etc.)
- Provides information about services and products
- Opens and closes the hotel as needed (wash windows, vacuum, etc.)
- Communicates with guests who have arrived
- Assists with the inventory of guest items and supplies
- Keeps the reception area clean and orderly
- Assists guests with luggage selection as needed
- Assists guests with room assignment during check-in/check-out process
- Check emails while guests are in the hotel – respond appropriately if not received promptly
- Respond to guest requests – provide information about availability or suggest additional services when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be able to work weekends. Must speak English fluently. Must have a pleasant personality. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work with people from all walks of life. Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must have computer skills
- Knowledge of numbers, however willing to train
- Acknowledges this position is scheduled with a combination of mornings, afternoons and covers overnights if needed.
- Customer Service Friendly
- Has basic knowledge of preparing breakfast items, however willing to train.
- Must have applicable open work permit or permanent resident

Pay: $15.00-$15.50 per hour
