Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food service operations, and ensuring a positive experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to cleanliness, and a willingness to learn about kitchen operations. Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality settings is a plus but not required.
Duties
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping and ingredient setup
- Keep kitchen areas clean and organized, including countertops, sinks, and storage spaces
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Support kitchen staff with stocking supplies and restocking dishware
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist in food handling and basic food service tasks when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food handling practices is advantageous
- Experience with food preparation or cooking can be beneficial but is not required
- Knowledge of food service operations or hotel experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food safety standards
Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour
