Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dock Worker/Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves handling the safe movement and storage of goods, operating Counterbalance forklift, and supporting efficient warehouse distribution operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining proper storage procedures
- Conduct basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Perform heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently
- Support warehouse distribution tasks to ensure timely processing of orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred
- Valid forklift certification
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Experience operating clamp trucks, order pickers, and other warehouse machinery preferred
- Basic math skills necessary for inventory counts and measurements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Pay: $20.00 per hour
