Duties will include:
- Reading & interpreting customer-submitted fabrication drawings and/or instructions and converting those orders into manufacturing drawings and work instructions.
- Verifying drawings, material lists, spreadsheets, etc. for accuracy.
- Co-ordinating with customers in regard to material and scheduling needs.
- Programming various pieces of CNC fabrication equipment.
Required experience:
- Must have previous drafting experience (AutoCAD 2D preferred).
- Must be familiar with Windows environments and Microsoft Office (MS Excel a must).
- Must have strong math skills including proficiency with both Metric and Imperial measuring systems.
- Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken) and have strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail is CRITICAL.
- Must have flexible mindset and be able to multi-task effectively.
Additional qualities considered an asset include:
- Experience with AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience reading architectural, mechanical and/or engineering drawings.
- Previous experience within the metal manufacturing industry.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in pattern development.
- Comfort with AI tools for tasks such as research, problem solving and work flow
