PAWfect SPA is an up-scaled grooming salon in the Yorkville area. Currently, we are recruiting a Part-Time/Full Time Professional Pet Stylist or Pet Assistant position.
Job Description
- Perform basic grooming services includes brushing/de-matting, shampoo/conditioning and blow drying of animals
- Follow breed standards or owner’s instruction when trimming, clipping or stripping an animal’s coat (For Pet Stylist only)
- Complete and file grooming log records for each pet groomed
- Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety to our standards
- Assist in booking and re-confirming grooming appointments
- Interact with customers to ensure our salon exceeds their expectations
- Explain our grooming services, standard procedures and pet trim styles to our clients
- Special projects as assigned
Education
- A grooming school diploma or certificate is mandatory (For Pet Stylist only)
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory
Requirements
- Must have working experience in handling animals (handling their own dogs/cats do not count)
- Respect and have appreciation for pets and their owners
- Have good verbal and written communication skills
- Have good public and personal relations skills
- Have good organizational skills and attention to details
- Socially oriented and enjoy working with people, along with a compassion to animals
- Able to do multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously
- Pleasant personality and capable of working in a team oriented environment
- Have good hygiene and appropriate dress
- Have sufficient physical conditions that would fulfill the successful completion of all duties as necessary
- Bilingual English / Japanese speaking is an asset
