Job Summary
Must have a G license and be able to drive truck and trailer, pull and back up a 7ft trailer loaded. Zero turn experience a high asset. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscaping Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge in horticulture, irrigation, and construction, and the ability to supervise a team effectively. This role involves managing daily operations on-site, ensuring quality standards are met, and guiding crew members to deliver exceptional landscaping services. An eye for detail is a must.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of landscaping workers to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
- Oversee landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning
- Manage irrigation systems installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper water management
- Apply horticultural principles to promote healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices
- Coordinate project schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on-site and maintain a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional recommendations
- Assist with construction-related activities such as soil preparation, grading, and installation of landscape features
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields
- Supervising or leadership experience in a landscaping or construction environment
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for team coordination and client interaction
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Valid G driver’s license to transportation between job sites
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
