Position:
Exploration Staffing Solutions Ltd. is seeking Geological Technicians (Geotechnicians)/ to join our team for the 2026 field season on various exploration projects within Canada. The positions are camp-based and travel is fly-in fly-out of your home city to various project locations (travel, accommodations, and meals provided). We are currently hiring for Geotechnicians to start at soon as June 10.
Job Description:
The primary duties of this position will be to prepare diamond drilled core for the Geologist to log and to obtain geotechnical measurements (recovery, RQD, fracture identification, IRS, etc.) and data from the core. Other duties may include but are not limited to: marking orientation lines on drill core, sampling and sample shipment preparation, conducting quality checks on geotechnical data, assisting geologists with various core shack and field activities.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma in Earth Sciences required.
- Team player: must work well with in diverse groups of people for extended periods of time
- Able to work independently when required
- Have a positive and pro-active attitude towards environmental responsibility, health and safety, and respectful workplace practices.
- Be detail oriented and strive for accuracy and consistency
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40-70 lbs., being active for a 10 hour shift, and working in physically demanding outdoor environments
- Comfortable and able to work and live in remote camp settings.
- Valid unrestricted drivers license is preferred but not required.The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-secondary schooling and/or experience in geology and the mineral exploration industry
- Experience with working as a Geotechnician/ Geological Field Assistant
- Open to candidates from all provinces.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: $315.00-$350.00 per day
