Account Executive – Low Voltage & SecurityPosition Overview
Site Connect is seeking an Account Executive to support the growth of our Low Voltage and Security Department. This role is responsible for developing new business, building strong customer relationships, and managing sales opportunities across security, communications, and technology systems.
The Account Executive will work closely with customers, consultants, general contractors, property teams, estimating, design, project management, and field operations to understand client needs, develop practical solutions, and support a smooth transition from sale to project delivery.
This position is well suited to a motivated, relationship-driven professional with strong commercial awareness, consistent follow-through, and an interest in low voltage and security technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across low voltage, security, communications, and technology service lines.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, consultants, end users, and strategic partners.
- Manage the sales process from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and award.
- Lead customer discovery meetings, site visits, walkthroughs, and solution presentations.
- Work with estimating, design, and technical teams to develop accurate, competitive, and practical solutions.
- Support opportunities involving access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, structured cabling, networking, intercom, audiovisual, and related systems.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, proposal, forecasting, and follow-up information in the CRM.
- Follow up on open quotations, upcoming projects, stalled opportunities, and customer requests.
- Coordinate proposal inputs, scope clarification, pricing review, and commercial documentation.
- Identify and communicate customer priorities, technical requirements, decision criteria, timelines, and risks.
- Support negotiations while protecting company margins, scope clarity, and delivery standards.
- Lead clear post-award handoffs to project management, service, engineering, and field teams.
- Remain engaged with customers throughout delivery to support relationship continuity and future opportunities.
- Represent Site Connect professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and project sites.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, account management, technical sales, construction, electrical contracting, security, or low voltage systems.
- Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, networking, intrusion systems, intercom, or audiovisual technology is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and manage a sales pipeline.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Commercial understanding of pricing, scope, margins, competition, and customer value.
- Ability to understand technical information and communicate it clearly to customers.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and CRM discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Experience with CRM, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, PDF tools, and project-management systems.
- Experience with platforms such as Procore, Odoo, Verkada, Genetec, Avigilon, ICT, or LenelS2 is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to attend customer meetings and project sites.
