Ve'ahavta is seeking a compassionate, organized, and engaging Program Coordinator to support participants enrolled in Ve'ahavta Skills Academy (VSA), our employment-readiness training program.
In this role, you will be a key source of support and encouragement for adults facing socio-economic barriers as they build skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful employment. From facilitating virtual classroom engagement to providing individualized guidance and coordinating program activities, you will play an important role in helping participants succeed.

What You'll Do
- Support participants throughout their skills development journey, from enrollment to graduation
- Foster an engaging and welcoming virtual classroom environment
- Facilitate discussions, icebreakers, check-ins, and other participant engagement activities
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and technical support to participants and volunteer facilitators
- Monitor attendance, participation, and participant progress
- Coordinate program activities including orientations, interviews, graduations, and special events
- Maintain participant records and support program reporting and evaluation
- Assist with the recruitment, scheduling, and support of volunteer workshop facilitators
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a positive and impactful participant experience
What You'll Bring
- Post-secondary education in Social Services, Social Sciences, Adult Education, Community Development, or a related field
- 1–2 years (minimum) of experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations
- Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or adult learning environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse participants
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Empathy, patience, and sound judgment when supporting individuals facing complex challenges
- Comfort learning and using technology, online learning platforms, and virtual meeting tools
- A proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach
Assets
- Experience with Zoom, online learning platforms, databases, or project management systems
- Experience coordinating volunteers
- Experience in employment, workforce development, community services, or nonprofit settings
Additional information
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.
Annual Salary: $31,000- $34,000 (equivalent of $52,000-$56,000 for full time)
