Cook Position – Join Our Team at Black Tartan Kitchen
Are you passionate about cooking, eager to develop your skills, and looking for a kitchen that values creativity, teamwork, and professional growth?
Black Tartan Kitchen is seeking a dedicated cook to join our small family-run team. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a genuine passion for the culinary arts & hospitality, and at least a couple of years of kitchen experience.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of kitchen experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Passion for cooking and continuous learning
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a close-knit team
- Creativity and attention to detail are considered strong assets
Schedule
- Regular operating days: Wednesday through Saturday
- Shifts scheduled between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM
- Schedule varies based on customer volume and staff availability
- Restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
- Additional shifts may be available for special events held on Mondays or Tuesdays
Compensation
- Competitive wage based on experience
- Weekly kitchen tip-out
- 50% of all restaurant gratuities are allocated to the kitchen tip pool and distributed equally based on hours worked
