We are seeking an Experienced Apprentice Millwright who will be integral to the company's maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, they will ensure all plant equipment and forage facilities receive the required preventive maintenance, general repairs, and safety upgrades.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing preventative maintenance at the specified intervals on key equipment including forage presses, loaders, forklifts, truck scale and ancillary equipment.
- Assist in the completion of repairs as needed and required to support production activities.
- Work with the maintenance team and management to create a plan for seasonal plant retrofits.
- Assist in keeping an adequate inventory of critical parts for key equipment.
- Adhere to the highest level of safety in all work practices.
- Demonstrate and show leadership in maintaining high environmental standards in all work performed.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Heavy Equipment or Millwright apprenticeship program.
- Experience with hydraulics is mandatory.
- Experience with PLC's is an asset.
- Previous agriculture equipment experience an asset.
- Hunterwood and Steffen Systems hay presses, John Deere, Hyundai, Toyota, Manitou experience an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation is mandatory.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be a Team player.
Schedule:
- 8 to 12 hr shifts.
- Day and Night Shifts.
- Holidays.
- After hours on call.
- Overtime.
- Weekends.
