Product Specialist - Outboard Motor and Marine Rigging Parts
We are seeking an experienced Product Specialist to support a dynamic Sales & Marketing team supporting the marine industry. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of outboard motors, marine rigging, and the recreational boating industry who enjoys working cross-functionally to support product planning, training, and market development.
As the Product Specialist, you will be the technical expert for marine products, ensuring internal teams, dealers, and boat builder partners have the information and resources they need to successfully position and support the product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product plans based on market research, customer feedback, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with global product teams to support future product planning and launches.
- Conduct competitor research, pricing analysis, and feature comparisons to support product positioning.
- Create and deliver product training materials, sales guides, and technical documentation for dealers and internal teams.
- Partner with the Parts & Accessories team to ensure marine rigging components and accessories are available for new product launches.
- Provide technical support for government tenders, quotations, and special market opportunities.
- Assist with dealer, media, consumer, and industry events as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a technical, engineering, research, business, or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience within the recreational boating or marine industry.
- Strong knowledge of outboard motors, marine rigging systems, and related products.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical product features into customer-focused benefits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's licence and Pleasure Craft Operator Card.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while building strong relationships across multiple teams.

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
