Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for teaching, and experience working with children. The Tutor will play a vital role in inspiring a love of learning and supporting student success through engaging and effective tutoring sessions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Assist students with understanding course material, homework, and exam preparation
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as appropriate
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students to excel
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure clarity of expectations and progress
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or adolescents
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and motivate learners
- Experience working with children in educational or classroom settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of curriculum standards across relevant subjects is a plus
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Reliable, patient, and committed to supporting student growth and confidence
- ESL qualifications are considered an asset
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
