Beck Glass Inc. is a leading glazing contractor serving commercial, residential, insurance restoration, and specialty glass clients throughout British Columbia. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk to join our growing team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining supplier accounts, administering payroll functions, and assisting with accounting and administrative duties. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper approvals are obtained.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, work orders, and receiving documentation.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare EFT, cheque, and credit card payment batches.
- Maintain vendor files and records.
- Communicate professionally with suppliers regarding payment inquiries.
Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and bi-monthly salaried employees.
- Review and verify employee time records.
- Maintain payroll records and employee documentation.
- Administer vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Assist with WCB reporting, ROEs, T4 preparation, and payroll remittances.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll legislation.
Accounting & Administration
- Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting.
- Support job costing and project accounting functions.
- Maintain confidential employee and financial information.
- Assist with filing, document management, and administrative tasks.
- Provide support to management and accounting staff as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable, Payroll, or Accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting and payroll software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Construction industry experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
