Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel management is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS. The Front of House Manager will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience and supporting the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and excellent customer experiences
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling standards
- Manage POS transactions accurately using point of sale system, including cash handling and billing
- Lead team management activities such as training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hospitality industry standards
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with restaurant management tasks including inventory control, scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness
- Support kitchen staff when necessary with food preparation or service assistance
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, leadership, and professionalism at all times
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in restaurant management, including team management and customer service excellence
- Experience with food handling, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with Micros POS or similar cash handling systems is preferred
- Previous hotel or barista experience is considered a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interview potential staff members effectively
- Knowledge of food industry trends and hospitality best practices
