Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer/Lather to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing plaster and lath systems in various building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Candidates with experience in carpentry, caulking, blueprint reading, and handyman tasks will be highly valued.
Duties
- Install and finish plaster on interior and exterior walls according to project specifications
- Set up lath systems using appropriate materials and techniques
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper insulation and finish quality
- Read and interpret blueprints to accurately execute construction plans
- Perform repairs and touch-ups on existing plaster or lath surfaces
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters and painters to ensure seamless project completion
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols throughout all tasks
- Assist with general handyman duties as needed on construction sites
Experience
- Prior experience in construction Stucco, EIFS, carpentry, or related trades is preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and construction drawings is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with caulking, plastering, or lath installation is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and practices
- Experience with handyman tasks that require attention to detail and problem-solving skills
