Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced (2 YEARS) AZ Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a variety of skills including commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair. A valid AZ license and relevant experience are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations across regional or national routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to prevent accidents or violations
Experience
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting is a plus
- Experience with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining logs and documentation
