What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Set up and adjust roll forming equipment for various production runs.
- Install and change tooling to manufacture different product profiles.
- Operate roll forming machinery safely and efficiently while meeting production schedules.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections using measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret production specifications, work orders, and measurements.
- Measure materials using tape measures, digital calipers, and other precision tools.
- Prepare, cut, assemble, and package manufactured components for shipment.
- Operate a variety of production equipment including punches, saws, bending equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Complete production paperwork and accurately record quality and output information.
- Assist with routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and minor troubleshooting.
- Move materials using manual handling equipment or forklifts (where certified).
- Maintain an organized work area while following all workplace safety procedures.
- Work closely with team members to achieve daily production goals while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience setting up and operating roll forming equipment.
- Manufacturing or production experience in a metal fabrication environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new equipment.
- Comfortable performing machine changeovers and basic equipment adjustments.
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools including tape measures and digital calipers.
- Experience reading production drawings or work instructions is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification or previous forklift experience is an asset.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation.
- Experience in the window, door, or building products industry is considered an asset.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely when required.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and machinery.
- Availability to work overtime and flexible shifts as production demands require.
