The Role
We are looking for a motivated Fabrication Apprentice to join our growing team full-time.
Working closely with experienced fabricators and the Shop Manager, you'll assist in building custom millwork and fabrication projects from start to finish while developing valuable trade skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom millwork, display fixtures, and architectural components
- Learn to safely operate CNC machines and woodworking equipment under supervision
- Use millwork machinery including table saws, panel saws, edge banders, routers, drills, sanders, and other fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings with guidance from senior team members
- Measure, cut, prepare, and assemble materials accurately
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and operating safely
- Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and preparing projects for installation
- Support installation crews on-site when required
- Continuously develop your fabrication knowledge and technical skills
Qualifications
We're more interested in attitude and work ethic than years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong desire to learn the fabrication and millwork trade
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools
- An interest in woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, manufacturing, or construction
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to take direction
- Reliability, accountability, and professionalism
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
The following are considered assets but are not required:
- Experience using woodworking or millwork equipment
- Experience operating CNC machinery
- Experience reading shop drawings
- Previous work in cabinetry, woodworking, manufacturing, construction, or fabrication
