Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve preparing high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions regarding menu items.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and handling.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Ability to drive a pick-up truck and trialer is a plus but not required.
