Reporting to the the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the QA Technician will assume the following responsibilities:
- Performing daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in HACCP and GMPs.
- Conducting environmental monitoring and product lab samples for testing.
- Inspecting product on arrival, in inventory and prior to shipping.
- Preparing QA inspection reports and recommendations.
- Verifying weight, temperature, size, package and pallet integrity of product.
- Reporting food safety and quality problems to the Quality Assurance/Plant Manager.
- Participating and assisting Quality Assurance Supervisor when needed.
- Completing special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
- Reporting non-compliances and make thorough decisions on corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the food processing industry.
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance practices.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory and quality system requirements- HACCP, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), and GFSI.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work flexible hours, to work alone or with a minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, challenging environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a collaborative team.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
