Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Installer specializing in ironwork and railings. This role involves fabricating, welding, and installing custom metal structures with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, to deliver high-quality craftsmanship for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Location: North York
Days/Times: Approx 7am-4pm
Must have welding experience
Must reside in/near North York (G license and Car)
MUST have at least 3 years of welding/installing experience with iron and railings

Pay: $20-$28 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, plasma cutting, and other methods to fabricate metal components.
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
- Execute installation of ironwork, railings, ductwork, and other structural elements on-site or in fabrication shops.
- Utilize rigging equipment and cranes for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely.
- Conduct measurements using calipers and basic math skills to ensure precise fitting of components.
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, construction, and manufacturing environments.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG & TIG), fabrication, or installation of ironwork or railings.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems such as ductwork or construction frameworks is a plus.
- Experience operating machinery like press brake machines, forklifts, or cranes is advantageous.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
