Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process by assembling components and ensuring that products meet quality standards. You will perform various tasks and routines within the plant. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You are expected to have good knowledge of products, processes and hand tools used in manufacturing of windows and doors.
Duties
- Assemble products according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Work with team members to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in the production process.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks.
- Operate forklifts to move materials and finished products within the warehouse.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Maintain department, equipment and company materials in a clean, efficient and professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Report any issues or defects in materials or equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Follow health and safety regulations
Experience
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing, preferably assembling windows / doors.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with mechanical concepts and the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
- Skilled with various methods of measurement and verification in metric and imperial systems.
- Window, door & glazing specific fabrication experience is considered an asset.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
