In this role, you will:
- Deliver structured programs for children and youth, with the ability to modify programs to meet the age-appropriate and developmental needs of all participants
- Coach and appropriately supervise children during scheduled programs
- Communicate with all participants and their caregivers, members, staff and volunteers
- Maintain records as needed, including attendance sheets, program area maintenance items and daily checklists
- Work as part of a team to ensure a clean and well maintained facility at all times
You bring:
- A positive enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Standard First Aid/CPR Certification ‘C’
- Healthy Child Development training or experience working with children in a recreational setting is an asset
- Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Must be able to work flexible hours based program needs
- Willingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including:
- AODA Training
- Health & Safety Awareness Training
- Bill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) Training
- PCI Compliance
- WHMIS
- Child Safeguarding Training
